I have loved reading the blogs of my friends...like a good book. I tune in regularly to find out what is happening in their lives day to day. I love the idea of being able to do that myself...however have put off the idea, not knowing how consistent of blogger I would be. At any rate.. I figured anything would be better that nothing..right? So here it goes =)
Ethan turns 13 this week....Aug 27. I know I say it all the time ,but I can hardly believe it has been 13 years. I can still remember the whole life changing drama like it was yesterday. I couldn't even begin to know how my life was about to change. I look back now and know that it was all in Gods plan and it was all in his timing. At 16, you think that it is literally the end of life as you know it...and it was different but not the end....just the beginning. I cant even explain the joy in my heart for Ethan and am so very grateful for the plan that wasn't mine. He is such a joy and it is my prayer for him that as he grows will continue to have the discernment that at 13 he possesses. He is smart and athletic and has alot of people who love him and have his best interest at heart. He is compassionate and sensitive to others feelings...most of the time=) I pray that he will continue to have a heart and desire for Christ. I could never have known how special of a child he would be and how God would work it for good in so many ways. I love you Ethan and I pray that one day you will fully understand the joy and thankfulness I feel in my heart!! You are a truly special gift to me !!!!!

Ethan and Enley have been in school now for 2 weeks. I can hardly believe it!! Enley is loving kindergarten and shivers at the thought of having to stay home because of 5 year old attitudes. ( I have threatened that if she doesn't change her attitude then she can't go to school. She adjust it real quick =) I know, enjoy that trick while it last b/c it will not work forever.) She is so informative when I pick her up telling me every detail of the day including who threw up in the garbage can..fun =0 Never get that info from Ethan. After about 2 questions...your on his nerves. And I am so much about details...guess that's a woman thing.
Ethan, on the other hand, attends school because it is necessary and because he like to play sports. Right now he is playing middle school football and loving it. This is the first year we have let him play and they have put him in the quarterback position. He is the 7 th grade QB and is competing for that starting position. They had their first jamboree game Thurs. evening... (it had to all of 100 degrees. Not really but felt like it . ) and the fist scheduled game will be on the 28 against Andalusia...he can hardly wait.
I have managed to stay busy since Enley has started kindergarten and it seem I am busier with the kids in school than otherwise. I have to take them and pick them up and so much of my day is in the vehicle going to and fro....but I don't mind and am thankful that I can be at home to do all of those things for them. I truly am blessed and am thankful for the road on which my life travels.
